Another piece intended for a book cover; this time a reworking of the Of Mice and Men cover I did over a year ago. I liked the atmosphere of the original, but wanted to bring it in line with the rest of my portfolio.

Book cover I worked on last week. Keeping myself busy with projects, in particular building up a greater bank of work geared towards book publishing. I’m also pushing figurative work even more where possible.

A speculative book cover design I was working on last week. I first became aware of the book having watched the excellent TV series (which borrows very little from the books as a matter of fact) and saw that there doesn’t seem to have been a new cover design since the 80s. I was in need of another book cover to even out my portfolio, so what a great opportunity! In remaining faithful to the book, there’s no Stephan Mangan or Darren Boyd though, I’m afraid!
*Potentially unpopular opinion* I didn’t like the book; I just can’t get on with Douglas Adams’s work unfortunately.. It was a fun cover to work on nonetheless!
